Concerned about computers with A.I. taking over the world? What about humans with A.I. brain implants?

Take some human beings.

Stand well back!

trAItor is a thriller exploring the future of humans with A.I. brain implants.

The disturbing effects of human A.I. brain implants on personal and business relationships are portrayed through intermingled storylines of personal fulfilment and corporate greed.

Alice is the innocent founder of a pioneering human A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) company. She must overcome her personal insecurities to succeed.

Claire uses her A.I. implant to enhance her professional career in law. But she must reconcile the professional ethics of this, and the social effects with the G.E. (Genetic Engineering) of her romantic partner and the class-prejudice of her family.

Victimised by Levi, Alice forgives him and offers him a job. Levi steals the technology and starts a competitor. To extort monthly subscriptions, he releases an A.I. virus which disables the senses.

Claire is infected with the virus, loses her senses of taste, smell, and hearing, and is about to go blind.

Can Alice stop Levi and develop a virus “vaccine” in time?

Reviewer Comments

“I think the idea Ron E. Fox is exploring is fascinating, and reminds me of Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go/Remains of the Day. I genuinely enjoyed reading it very much! I read most of it in an evening as I wanted to read on.” – Fay Morrice. *****

“Ron E. Fox is a thumping good storyteller! This is a very neatly constructed tale. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and found it very engaging and readable. Lots of lovely subtlety and sensitivity in his exploration of what everyday life might be like in the not too distant future.” – Melanie Savage. *****
